Q :What should I do when unable to observe the sample under the Blue Light Mode?
A: Please confirm the selected light source is the blue light, NOT the WHITE light.
Q: Am I able to visualize the gels stained with ethidium bromide
(EtBr)?
A: Ethidium bromide-stained gels can be visualized with the BluPAD transilluminator as ethidium bromide has a smaller secondary excitation peak within the range of 400-570 nm. However, keep
in mind that the fluorescence intensity will not be as bright as when excited at the primary excitation peak of 300 nm (Please note the intensity would be lower than when excited at 300 nm.),
which would be possible with UV transilluminators.
Q :Bands are not clear, so what should I do?
A :Please ensure the
sample’s concentration is sufficient, then you can adjust the brightness to obtain a higher observation quality.
Q :Do the protective films on the white plate/blue tempered glass filter need to be removed before conducting the experiment?
A: Yes, please remove all protective material on white and blue uniform plates.

BLooK™ is an extraordinary blue light LED transilluminator for the detection of nucleic acids or protein under non-UV conditions. The wavelength of the special blue LED lights is 470 nm (fig 1), hence no damage to your nucleic acids or protein. Since UV is not used, there is no need for any special personal eye or skin protection. The blue LED lights are arranged under the viewing area (200 × 120 mm).
An amber filter, on hinges, is lowered into position once your gel is mounted. The stained gel is now ready for observation. This instrument has a specially designed ergonomic 4° angle, so users can easily sit on a chair to see the experiment results.

BLooK™ is designed to inspect the gel after electrophoresis and stained with the Novel Juice, Novel Green, Novel Green Plus. Further, it is perfectly designed for OnePCR™, OnePCRTM HiFi, OnePCRTM HotStar, OnePCR™ Plus, OneMARK B, and OneMARK 100, which contains the fluorescent stain compatible with the blue light wavelength.
